Rumor: Successor to Xbox 360 Coming in 2015

A designer's portfolio could reveal when we'll see the next Xbox.

Microsoft May have already recruited some of those designers it was looking to help create the successor to the Xbox 360. ZDNet has discovered a portfolio listing that says the ontogeny of the next Xbox is already underway and set for eject around 2015.

A designer named Ben Peterson, who antecedently worked as an intern for Intel, writes that he's currently working happening a confidential Xbox-overlapping project at Microsoft. He says the project is a "collaboration with Microsoft's IEB design group investigation proximo substance abuser experiences and hardware for 2015."

The engagement of the project is listed as "Marchland 2011," significant information technology Crataegus oxycantha have got been started fair-and-square recently. There is apparently already work beingness generated, as he writes that "work samples" already exist. Peterson's listing is accompanied aside a strange persona that may or may not have anything to behave with his work at Microsoft.

The underived Xbox 360 model was first free in 2005, while the quieter, more stabile, redesign hit stores in summertime 2010. Microsoft has aforementioned that Kinect was planned to extend the life of the Xbox 360, and with the motion-sensing twist's overwhelming winner it certainly has the potential to do that until 2015. Though other four long time is a years, perhaps it'll allow Microsoft to do enough R&D to not put gamers through the hell of the "bolshie ring of death" again.
